Flying. Not at the intangible height of a jet, but at
spitting distance from the treetops. Were in central
Alaska, the Big Lonely, just north of the Arctic Circle.

A thick forest follows the contours of mountain foothills
like a deep-pile carpet. Up at treeline the forest thins to
tundra, a grassy
mounting snow.
TWO MEN, NORRIS AND BENNINGS
standing some thirty yards from the main building are in
the process of letting up a large red balloon. Childs, a
hefty black man, is twenty yards away tinkering with a
snowmobile. Their beards are caked with ice. It is
winter and it is harsh.
The faint sound of the copter turns their attention.
THE COPTER
flying ever lower now. The man with the gun lea
mounting apprehension.
We fight the other mice, pushing into the far corner.
Suddenly the world beyond the mesh is eclipsed by the
WOMAN. If we were not a mouse, we might think she was
beautiful.
She opens the cage and a panic erupts. There is nowhere
to hide as her hand reaches in and TAKES HOLD of us.
The cage seems to fall away as she LIFTS us.
We can barely hear her voice over the blood pound

Meet Harrys partner, ALBERT "GIB" GIBSON, an overweight twenty-
year-man with a lived in looking face. Gib answers Harry via
his headset.
GIB
Roger that.
(he covers the mike and
turns)
Hey, Fize! Get your butt in
here. Harrys inside.
Outside, FAST FAISIL, an Iranian-American, finishes making
yellow snow and hurries back to the van. They are parked on a
winding mountain road

scopes and binoculars are shoulder to shoulder with the
armed infantry. Everyone stares off at the same point on
the horizon. Waiting.
The VIDEO CAMERA movements are HANDHELD, unsteady, as it
moves through the line of Army personnel to reveal a
second, less organized semicircle of observers fifty yards
behind the Army. LOCALS from nearby towns perch in truck
beds and on car roofs, Budweis
rubber overalls, and
is LASHING a LANTERN in the cloud of mist.
INT/EXT THE SUSAN MARIES CABIN - NIGHT
A match is struck. CARL lights the wick of a second lantern.
The cabin is meticulously neat. A tin COFFEE CUP on the
counters edge. The floor clear of any clutter. Carl
glances at his watch. Its 1:07. Then he hears...
...the puttering SOUND of an approaching boat...
EXT. THE SUSAN MARIE, SHIP CH

steel casing above a massive window. Pulleys, metal caribiner
clips, yellow Kevlar ropes. So superbly practiced, the rigging is
placed in seconds, huge SUCTION CUPS pressed to the surface of the
glass. The Thief reaches to a metal rectangle at the top of the
rigging, touches a button, a motor WHINES, the ropes TIGHTEN and
the window...
...POPS FREE, hangs SUSPENDED by the K
